Booking Policy

Coral Holidays Pte Ltd is an inbound Maldives travel agency offering the true Maldivian Hospitality through leading resorts, hotels from the beautiful Maldives.

PEAK & HIGH SEASON:
November to January & March to April are considered as peak season in the Maldives and during which is the busiest period. During this period properties may apply special conditions for bookings during this period, such as non-refundable deposits, compulsory festive/gala dinner supplements for Christmas and New Year Eve – all of which will be advised during the booking process. For Peak and High Season reservations, we recommend to make the booking at least 180 days in advance in order to avoid any disappointments. 

MINIMUM POLICY:
Minimum night requirement varies from property to property and generally applies for peak and high season bookings. If your booking for Peak and High season applies minimum night requirements, our consultants will advise you at the time of booking.

CHILD POLICY:
Some of the resorts in the Maldives are Adult only properties and some resorts offer special facilities such as Kids club, Kid's Pool, Baby-sitting service and family villas, etc. as in to accommodate children. Please note that due to safety reasons, over-water villas are not advisable for children and most resorts do not accept children in such villas. However, some resorts do allow children in water villas with a written consent form signed by the parent. Children aged 12 years and more are usually considered as an adult with regards to room rates and meal plans, however child policy and age criteria at times differ from resort to resort. 

MEAL PLANS:
In general, the property rates are with Bed and Breakfast (BB), except for few resorts which offers room only basis. Other meal plans such as Half Board (HB), Full Board (FB) and All Inclusive (AI) are available for a fixed extra price. Half Board consists of two meals per day, usually breakfast and dinner (some properties offer lunch as an option too), Full Board offers 3 meals per day which consists of Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and All Inclusive offers drinks and other benefits such as tea time on top of the Full Board plan. All meal plans are generally offered at the resort's main restaurant; however, some properties do offer Dine-Around option for a surcharge. Beverages are generally not included in all the meals except for those on All Inclusive meal plans. No refund or exchange will be provided for unconsumed meals. In room dining are not included in the meal plans and thus will be charged separately. If you have any special meal request (such as Vegetarian, Diet Requirements, Non-Alcoholic or Food Allergies, etc.), please provide us at the time of booking so that we can make the necessary arrangements.  

GROUP BOOKINGS:
A booking of more than 5 rooms are generally considered as a group booking and depending on availability and the travel season, a special rate may apply for group bookings.

ROOM AVAILABILITY:
Rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking or reservation, we do not hold any bookings until and unless a reservation has been confirmed. Being from the Maldives, we are able to advise availability of rooms immediately at the time of your requests without facing the general hassle of time zone difference and distance.

WEBSITE:
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of information and descriptions provided in our website. However, it is possible that a featured facility may be withdrawn or changed because of weather conditions, maintenance, renovations or for any other factors which are beyond our control. At the time of booking, our consultants will be able to advise all the crucial information with regards to the properties, and if you have already made bookings well in advance, our consultants will keep you posted on any upgrades or such, if applicable.

RATES:
Rates featured on our website or provided by our tour consultants are per person, per night and are inclusive of 10% service charge and 12% TGST and Green Tax, unless stated otherwise.

PERSONALIZED QUOTE:
Our Travel Consultant will send you a personalized quote based on your preferred travel dates, indicated budget and additional information/preferences provided. The quotations you receive will be inclusive of the existing offers and are the best ones best suiting your requirements and preferences. Upon your confirmation of the quotes in writing, we will proceed with your booking and send you our pro forma invoice. Upon receipt of the required pre-payment, the booking will be confirmed. Any additional services which are not stipulated in the pro forma invoice will need to be directly settled to the resort.

DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY:
Personal information and particulars provided to us are solely for the purpose of processing and finalizing your reservation and any information provided will be treated with utmost confidentiality. With respect to your booking, the information provided will be shared with the respective property. To this extend, you authorize Coral Retreat & Holidays Pte Ltd and Maldives Around to use your personal information and disclose it to the respective properties and third parties providing your requested services.

BOOKING:
All bookings are subject to availability of rooms at the time of booking and will be confirmed upon receipt of the required pre-payment. For confirmed availability, we will confirm the bookings with a few hours and for those with unconfirmed availability there may be short delays as we wait for the confirmation from the respective properties. You may do the booking through the website or send booking request directly to info@thecoralholidays.com. Please note that a written booking confirmation will be sent to you only when we have received and verified your payment. We do not hold any bookings or reservations until and unless its confirmed and the required pre-payments paid.

REQUEST FOR SPECIFIC ROOM NUMBER:
Due to the complex process and inventory management, the room allocation is solely done by the properties according to their internal procedures. Due to this reason we are unable to guarantee allocation of a specific room or location. However, we will provide all your special requests to the resorts and do our best to fulfill the request.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:
Check-in and Check-out times vary from resort to resort but in general the check-in time is 1400hrs and check out time is at 1200 noon. The actual times will be advised at the time of booking based on your selection of the resort. Early check-in and late check-out depends on availability at the resort on that particular day. The only way to guarantee early/immediate check-in or late check-out on your departure day is to book the room for 1 extra day. Should you wish a guaranteed early check-in or late check-out, please let us know, so that arrangements can be made, alternatively you can request for an early check-in upon arrival and/or late check-out on the day of your departure directly at the resort which is then subject to availability at that time.

LATE CHECK-OUT CHARGES:
To keep the room until 18.00 hours (6pm): 50% of the room rate (subject to availability at the time) To keep the room after 18.00 hours (6pm): 100% of the room rate (subject to availability at the time) Late check-out charges must be paid directly to the resort.

BOOKING AMENDMENTS:
Booking amendments depend on availability at the time. Booking amendment result in changes to airport transfer, voucher and other booking documents will incur an administrative fee of USD100, if the amendment is done after the booking is confirmed. For changes that affects travel dates, room types and number of travelers there be additional charges depending on the property.

HEATH:
Travelers with significant allergies and medical problems are advised to inform of such conditions at the time of booking so that our consultants can take note of it and inform the resorts accordingly. Some of the resorts have resident doctors who will be able to provide limited medical services, and those resorts with no resident doctors will be able to access to nearby resorts with resident doctor. Most of the resorts are not equipped with facilities for handicapped people, and those requiring such facilities are to inform at the time of booking so that our team can coordinate with the respective resorts. For emergencies during Diving, there are decompression chamber facilities available at Bandos (15 minutes from Airport by Speedboat) and Kuramathi (one hour from Airport by Speedboat or 20 minutes by Sea Plane). Those on medications are advised to bring adequate supplies in their original containers as to avoid any hassles at the customs and if carrying syringes or needles, please be sure to carry a physician's letter documenting their medical necessity. Travelers from Africa, Central and South America are required to present proof of yellow fever vaccination.

TRANSFER TO & FROM RESORTS:
Due to the unique geography of the Maldives, speedboats, seaplanes or domestic flights transfers are used to to bring you to your dream resort from the airport. The transfer modes to/from the resort islands and the duration of the transfers vary from resort to resort due their respective distance to Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA), and will be advised upon booking. International flight details are required at least 7 days prior to arrival to organize the transfers accordingly. Transfers to and from the resorts are arranged based on combined transfer or private transfers unless a private transfer has been requested at the time of booking.  

PRIVATE TRANSFER:
If you book a private transfer, you are not required to wait for other passengers or to stop along the way to drop off other guests. Instead, you have immediate access to your private speedboat or seaplane according to your personal travel itinerary, all tailored to your specific needs. We recommend a private transfer; in particular, if you are staying at more than one resort, to save time by avoiding a trip to the main airport to change boats for the next destination Moreover, it will guarantee you maximum privacy and comfort. At the time of booking you may request our travel consultants for the private transfer pricing.

COMBINED /SHARED TRANSFER:
Combined transfers normally accommodate a group of passengers arriving or departing at or around the same time. Therefore, combined transfers might include waiting time for other passengers who might be arriving on different flights, varying between few minutes and, very rarely, even hours. The resort reserves the right to book you on a later transfer (additional charges might apply) if you are not on time, since other passengers will be waiting. If there is no other combined transfer available later, you will have to wait (subject to availability at the time) and pay for a private transfer charged additionally. Furthermore, stop overs are sometimes necessary to pick up or drop off passengers at other islands along the route. The time of your departure from the resort will depend on the resort's transfer departure schedule in line with international airline timings; the resort will inform you accordingly on the evening prior to your departure.

COMBINED SPEEDBOAT TRANSFER:
For many, the serene speedboat transfer over crystal clear water to the resort island is the first highlight of the holiday. The transfer time varies from 10 minutes to 2 hours, and bookings are subject to availability. Speedboats are equipped with sun roofs, the latest GPS navigation systems and life jackets. There are no luggage limitations and traveling at night is possible.

COMBINED SEAPLANE TRANSFER:
A quick and smooth way to travel, a seaplane transfer allows a unique way to see the beautiful azure panoramas of the Maldives from above. The seaplane, seating up to 15 passengers, does not travel during the night but normally from 6 am to 4 pm. Depending on the resort's location the scenic flight takes between 15 minutes to 1 hour. The flight will either be direct or between islands in an atoll (group of islands) to drop off or pick up passengers along the way. The maximum luggage allowance is usually 20 kg checked in and 5 kg hand luggage per person.

COMBINED DOMESTIC FLIGHT TRANSFER:
A Domestic flight might be required to reach more secluded island resorts. The maximum luggage allowance is usually 20 kg checked in and 5 kg hand luggage per person.

PAYMENT POLICY: 
100% of the booking cost has to be pre-paid for confirmed bookings and reservations.

MODE OF PAYMENT:
Kindly note that we require prepayment to process all bookings. You will receive the booking confirmation and other travel documents as soon as the payment is processed. For bank transfers locally (Singapore to Singapore and Maldives to Maldives) we will be able to verify the receipt of payment immediately. For Telegraphic transfers and Bank Wire it will take 3 to 7 banking days for our Accounts department to verify receipt of the payment.

TELEGRAPHIC TRANSFER & BANK WIRE TRANSFER: 
All TT and Bank Wire transfers has to be done in favor of Coral Holidays Pte Ltd and all the transaction and bank charges are to be borne by the payee. To get our bank account details, please send us an email. Upon completion of remittance, please email us a copy of remittance to our accounts department at accounts@thecoralholidays.com and inform the respective travel consultant in order to complete your booking.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE FROM MALDIVES:
All International flights to Maldives arrives and departs from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) which is located on a separate island called Hulhule, a 10-minute boat ride from Male', the capital island of Maldives. Kindly advise us prior to your arrival whether you are traveling with several pieces of luggage in order for us to arrange for your personal porter. International flight details of the arrival guest has to be provided to the tour consultant at least 7 days before your arrival date in order to facilitate for the transfers to the resort.  All arrivals and departure to INIA are subject to customs and immigration checks.

HOTEL & RESORT VOUCHER:
Once a booking is confirmed and the required payment is process a unique booking voucher will be provided for each booking. Travelers are advised to keep this booking reference at all times as it will be used for identifications by our consultants for any further communications, if any arises. The voucher will also be required during transfers and check-in at the resort.

EARLY / LATE ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE:
For those arriving to night and if the booked resort does not have transfer facilities during night time, we can directly book 1 night's stay at an Airport Hotel and transferred to the resort following day. At the time of booking our consultants will advise if night transfers are available at the respective resort. Please note that Sea Plane transfers available only during day time.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY:
Due to contractual arrangements we do not accept any cancellations or any refunds in the for cancellations.

NO-SHOWS:
No-shows will be charged 100% of the invoice amount and no refunds will be possible. Please ensure your travel insurance policy covers this possibility.

UNEXPECTED DEPARTURES:
Unexpected departures are treated as a cancellation and 100% of the total booking value for the unused nights will be charged.
